"I requested a change to my renter's policy via e-mail on August 7th. It's now August 12th and I haven't even heard from anyone. I've sent three follow-up e-mails in the days since. Still nothing. I have no idea what's going on, but I would absolutely avoid doing business with him if you want to feel like your business is important."

"I have been a State Farm customer for years ever since working in an agent office. This office has given me the worst service and engaged in outright illegal activity on my account and I don’t trust them but specifically an agent named Deb as she was the one to “assist” me. I moved from Durham to Chapel Hill in June, 2024 and requested 1. A change in the coverage address 2. Adding additional interest 3. Adding a named insured THAT WAS IT. The employee who “helped” me, Deb, proceeded to lower my liability coverage from 1Mil to 100K and remove endorsements from my policy. When I asked her why she did that instead of keeping the same coverages as requested, she apparently decided herself that my limits were too high and lowered them of her own volition and my endorsements didn’t make sense to her! Yeah, I wrote the original policy so I think I know what I need better than literally anyone else. When I told her that it was illegal under Ch. 58, Article 41 of the insurance regulatory reform act (58-41-20), and demanded they be reinstated she didn’t take responsibility or apologize she just passed me to another employee and promised that it would be fixed. Despite my numerous attempts to have this resolved, as of late August it remains unchanged, which is why i’m writing this review instead. Suffice to say I will be leaving this office and cannot in good faith recommend this office when I know better offices are out there that can actually help you or at the very least try to. The agents have a fiduciary responsibility to maintain and enhance policies and coverages and this office has failed to do either with an impressive dedication. Please fix my policy!!! Policy changes take 2 weeks not 2 months, I used to submit them myself so I know first hand!!!! 2/5⭐️ Edit: this was resolved after this review was posted but it took 2 months. The agent in charge was helpful but upset about the review and my reasons for posting it. Updating to 3/5 ⭐️"
